This was acceptable only for people who did not have the means to offer a lamb, which was the accepted sacrifice (Lev. 12:6-8; Lk. 2:22-24). </P> <P> We also know from Scripture that Jesus had brothers and sisters. &quot;Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? Are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
